Ephesians 6:12 “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

Our strategy needs to change on how we combat the struggles, difficulties and hard times we are in. There are 350 verses, 25% of Jesus teaching, that deal with demons and bad spirits. When we understand how the enemy attacks we are better equipped to ward off his attempts to overwhelm and consume us.

1 Timothy 4:1 “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons.”

How do we fight? First, we need to know who the unseen enemy is. He is a liar. He lies about our identity and our past. He is an accuser. Accusing us of our worth. Only when we know the truth can we combat the lies. We must fight with God's words.

John 8:44 “He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

Romans 8:1 “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

The words and truths we speak into our lives is what will eventually become the truth that governs our life. The enemy’s strongest strategy is the war in our mind. When he debates and twists God's word he seeks to plant doubts about God’s goodness. We know this tactic when we start to rationalize.

2 Corinthians 3:9 “If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness!”

We must arm ourselves with, “the full armor of God, so that we can take our stand against the devil’s schemes.” Ephesians 6:11
