Scriptures About Tithing

Did you know that tithing is holy? To be holy means to set aside or to be set apart. When we know this meaning it only makes sense that we set aside our money. Setting our money apart for God is for us. It is the intentional reminder that all that we have is His.

When God is in our money, He can do immeasurably more than we ever could. “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20 NIV

“But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, and serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.” Galatians 22-23 MSG

The God we serve is abundant. His provision is more than enough for our lives. We must trust in that. We show our trust by giving what the world tells us is ours to Him.
