Hurricane Ian Disaster Relief

GFC is not directly leading any more trips to Ft. Myers; however, we encourage you to plan your own day trip! Mission Community Church, located in downtown Ft. Myers, is welcoming teams of volunteers to sort donations, prepare meals and do community clean up. You can connect with them to coordinate your own trip here.

We have two more trips to Ft. Myers coming up!

The first is this Saturday morning, October 8.

  • Meet at the South Tampa GFC location, 4479 W Gandy Blvd, at 6:00 AM. Pastor Mike Ash will be leading this team. You will follow him and volunteer at his good friend’s church. Volunteers will help with community cleanup, food distribution, and more.
  • Email mash@gfcflorida.com if you want to join!

The second is Thursday, October 13.

  • Meet at the Lutz GFC location, 5101 Van Dyke Road, Lutz 33558, at 6:00 AM. The team will collect donations from the Lutz lobby, load up vehicles, and head down. We’re trying to beat the 7:30 AM traffic on the Veterans by leaving earlier. We’ll drop off donations at a church and will volunteer until mid-afternoon.
  • Email amccullohs@gfcflorida.com if you want to join the team!
