Serving Opportunities

1) Hillsborough County Emergency Operations Center

  • 9450 E. Columbus Dr., Tampa, FL 33619
  • Calling residents to connect them with recovery resources. Shifts can be anytime you are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday between 11 AM - 5 PM.

2) Comfort & Hygiene Stations (9 locations needing 15 volunteers/day):

  • Distribute food, water, and supplies and assist in delivering meals to neighborhoods in need. Spanish speakers are especially needed.
  • The aim is to have volunteers assist with the distribution of food and supplies at the locations, and then teams of 2-3 go out into the surrounding neighborhoods to identify the high-impact areas and deliver supplies and hot meals to those who cannot make it to the Comfort Station/POD.

  • Wimauma Civic Center Support Station

3) New Life Warehouse Deliveries: Saturday, October 26

  • 400 Roberts Road, Oldsmar, FL 34677
  • Arrive between 8 - 9 AM 
  • NLW provides furniture and home goods for people starting over, including those impacted by the hurricanes.
  • Volunteers will receive furniture and deliver them to an assigned family. 
  • Please plan to park there or in the Wacky World parking lot and walk down to receive your delivery assignment.
  • We will load three deliveries at a time. When it's your turn to load, we'll send your team to the warehouse. You can move your vehicles into the bays and warehouse parking lot at that time.
  • Once your delivery is loaded, please pull out onto Roberts Road and strap down so we can load the next team. Please be sure to strap your deliveries down carefully before leaving the warehouse.

4) Samaritan's Purse Disaster Relief in St. Pete

  • Samaritan's Purse is taking volunteers Monday - Saturday until December. Currently, they have 900 work orders. There's plenty to do! 
  • There is no need to pre-register; show up at 7:30 AM or 12:30 PM for orientation and to start your shift.
  • Volunteers MUST be on time. If you miss orientation, you won't be allowed to volunteer. Please look at your route to plan accordingly for traffic.
  • You may serve all day or a half day-- your choice.
  • Address: 8900 US HWY 19 N, Pinellas Park, FL 33782: Calvary Chapel, St. Pete.
  • Volunteers will assist homeowners with tree work, debris cleanup, and roof tarping. No experience is required. All tools provided, including PPE. You may bring small tools and a tool belt.
  • Volunteers must be 14 years old or older.
